We take a community approach to ending period poverty. We engage and train Opinion Leaders (Women) and empower them with the tools, information they need to ensure no child in the community suffers humiliation as a result of being born female. We then donate period accessories from tampons, Sanitary pads, sanitizers, flyers and guides to keep the work happening
Growing up, I heard horrible stories from my friends, I have seen some drop out of school not because they are not brilliant but the stigma of having monthly period and the pain it comes with. As part of my dreams, I planned to do my best and contribute to ending period poverty in Ghana.
